Avalon Home and Landowners Meeting

Property owners annual meeting. Mayor, who is also Cape May County Emergency Management Coordinator, and Scott Wahl, Public Information Officer, will be presenting information about the new avalonemergency.org web site and updated information about the new Borough of Avalon Emergency Evacuation Pet Shelter built on the bed of a 53' tractor trailer to house pets of evacuees when it is necessary to evacuate Avalon as was done with Hurricane Eileen. Additionally, updated information about the National Flood Insurance Mitigation Program which has qualified Avalon for a 20% reduction in Flood Rates as a Category 6 Community will be discussed and handouts provided.
