CIEDM Workshop on Disaster Preparedness & Reduction
In response to President Obama's proclaiming September be the National Preparedness Month, we at CIEDM at the end of September have scheduled to hold a workshop on Thursday October 11 to raise public awareness of and actions for the International Day of Disaster Reduction 2012 on October 10 and the Great California ShakeOut on October 18. The event is open to public and mainly will be attended by a 17-person delegation from Jilin Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development (DHURD), China. Dr. Edward Huang ??? will make a presentation on the subject in the beginning of the workshop and lead a tour of Arcadia EcoHome, a greenrated house designed and built with structural integriaty by Dr. Huang.
