Springfield Fire Department 5th Annual Open House
On Sunday, October 14th, the Springfield Fire Department will be hosting its 5th annual open house at Fire Headquarters from 1pm to 4pm. There will be a tour of the fire house, refreshments and the new Engine 4 will be on display. Activities for the children include the chance to "Stop, Drop & Roll" and to squirt a real fire hose to knock down wooden "flames". A roof ventilation demonstration will be held at 1:30pm and a vehicle extrication demonstration will be held at 3pm. Children of all ages enjoy climbing into our fire engines.
