Introduction

Hello all,

My name is Eden Slater and I am a 22 year old AmeriCorps community organizer for the City ofKnoxville. I am working on developing and implementing a disaster preparedness program on the neighborhood level. So far residents and emergency management/response teams have been very excited to work with the program and make it a great thing forKnoxville! My hope is to build community bonds, get neighbors prepared and relying on each other, and link residents to emergency personnel training and practices. If you have any incite into this project it would be greatly appreciated!
