CA State University Monterey Bay Emergency Preparedness Fair Sep 14th 10:00am to 5:00pm The CSUMB Emergency Preparedness Fair is a collaborative effort of CSUMB, response partners from the surrounding communities, and volunteer/NGO organizations that will include information tables, demonstrations, seminars and activities. It follows a regional exercise and preceeds the first CSUMB CERT training course scheduled for the last weekend of the month. County CSS who developed a disaster preparedness "Jeopardy" game. Los Angeles Fire Department CERT training sessionsRepeating Event Sep 16th 9:00am to 5:00pm The Los Angeles Fire Department will provide CERT training sessions for community members. The training will refresh the existing CERT members and the public in four areas: Family Emergency Planning Damage Assessment Light, Search, and Rescue Triage, Treatment, and Transporting of Patients Firefighters from the 7 LAFD stations will deliver the four 1-hour classroom sessions followed by a 1-hour demonstration portion. City of South Pasadena Open House and Tournament of Roses Car Show Sep 16th 10:00am to 4:00pm The 2012 National Preparedness Month in L.A. County: L.A. County Chief Executive Office, Office of Emergency Management joined City of South Pasadena Police & Fire Departments at its Open House, Sun., Sept. 16, 2012. Agencies who participated: U.S. Department of Drug Enforcement Administration, U.S. Postal Inspection Service, California Highway Patrol (CHP), Contractors State License Board, LACoFD, L.A. County Dept. of Children & Family Services, Southern California Edison, South Pasadena Public Safety Commission & 2012 Stanley Cup Champion L.A. Kings. The City of South Pasadena Tournament of Roses Car Show: Herbie the Love Bug, Kitt from Knight Rider, Austin Powers "Shaguar" and James Bond movie cars. Other vehicles on display included: L.A. County Alternate Emergency Operations Center, LACoFD Shakey Quakey and Area C Command Center.
