Wetland Workshops

We are providing multiple wetland workshops to show our  community the importance of wetlands and our shoreline and why we should protect them. Wetlands play an integral part in mitigating stormwater run off and with the increasing extreme storm events and sea level rise we need our wetlands to stay intact more than ever. Reducing imprervious surfaces within wetland buffers, creating rain gardens, and planting native shoreland buffers are some of the topics that will be discussed. Additionally we will be reviewing the latest data and maps showing the impact of sea level rise and stormwater impacts in our community.
